THE KIWANIS ROSE FLOAT PROJECT

 1ST ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC!

Hello Kiwanis friends and supporters,

I’m Joel Carlson, and as of October 1, 2025, I have the honor of serving as President of the prestigious Kiwanis Rose Float Club — the club behind the annual Kiwanis Rose Float seen by more than 60 million viewers worldwide every New Year’s Day during the Tournament of Roses Parade.

Each year, the Kiwanis Rose Float Project brings together 4,000–5,000 volunteersto help decorate more than 10 floats, contributing over 36,000 service hours in support of this incredible tradition. From K-Family members to community volunteers, it is truly a team effort — and like any great round of golf, it takes planning, teamwork, and a strong finish.

That is why we are excited to announce the Kiwanis Rose Float Club 1st Annual Golf Classic & Pairings Party, taking place August 20–21, 2026, at the beautiful Brookside at the Rose Bowl Golf Course.

This event is more than a day on the greens — it is a chance to drive support, chip in for service, and help us stay on course to raise the funds needed for the Kiwanis Rose Float Project. Every sponsorship, foursome, raffle ticket, and donation helps ensure that this beloved District project continues to blossom for generations to come.

So mark your calendars, polish up those clubs, and get ready to join us for fellowship, fun, fundraising, and a few friendly swings for a great cause.

More information will be coming soon about sponsorship opportunities, golf registration, the pairings party, and ways you can help support this outstanding Kiwanis tradition.

Let’s tee it up for the Rose Float!

THIS YEAR'S BENEFACTOR

The Kiwanis Rose Float Club Project is about much more than the parade. As one of the largest community service projects in all of Kiwanis International, the project coordinates over 36,000 volunteer hours from thousands of people, most of whom are high school and college students from Southern California, but some of whom come from across the country to participate in this memorable and rewarding experience. Kiwanians—and our friends, family, and youth service leadership programs—contribute to as many as 1/3 of all the floats that appear in the parade each year.
